Police said Hill had repeatedly threatened suicide in the hours leading up to the fall, which came a day after murder and attempted murder charges had been filed against 34-year-old porn actor. "He was bent on taking his own life," said a police spokesman. "It's very unfortunate. We wanted this to end a different way." Click here for the video.

Video Captures Porn Actor's Final Moments
Surrounded by a SWAT team on a rocky cliff, a porn actor suspected of killing a colleague last week moved to the edge of the outcropping and fell some 40 feet to his death, ending a dramatic, daylong standoff with police outside Los Angeles. Video of the apparent suicide captured by news cameras yesterday shows Stephen Clancy Hill clutching a sword and talking to police negotiators, with a crowd of media watching. Hill tumbled down the hillside after scooting to the ledge from a seated position.
Porn Industry Exploits Its Male Stars
The death of Stephen Hill—a porn star who police say killed a colleague and wounded others—prompts Susannah Breslin to examine the often brutal way the industry treats its male actors. "If porn is a joke—and, particularly these days, it most assuredly is—male porn stars are its punch line," she writes in Salon. Forget the conventional wisdom that these guys are living dream lives: They get paid far less than women and are "treated like props."
"Due to the hardcore nature of the porn business and the toll it takes upon all its workers, the porn industry functions as a meat grinder for the human condition, and men are its offal," writes Breslin, who's written about the industry for more than a decade. "They may score bragging rights as professional cocksmen, but the reality is these are the working stiffs of a business that has virtually no interest in the men it employs and all the interest in the world in the women with whom its movies are forever preoccupied."

Meet Charlie Sheen's Porn Star Date
Turns out Charlie Sheen wasn't on a date with a hooker the night he went on his hotel room rampage: He was on a date with a porn star that he met in the hotel bar. Christina Walsh (aka Capri Anderson, Alexis Capri, Stella Costanza, and Capri Nubiles) was naked and locked in the bathroom when police arrived at the room. Sources tell TMZ the 22-year-old was "extremely afraid" of Sheen after his meltdown began, and called hotel security because she felt "threatened."
If any of her many names sound familiar, it may be because you've seen Sheen's date in such classics as Big Bust Cougars; Damn, She's a Lesbian; Me & My Girlfriends; Barely 18: Spring Break; or Lesbian Tendencies, Radar reports. Interestingly, her Facebook bio indicates Walsh is interested in women, the New York Post notes. To watch an interview with Denise Richards, who says she's trying to "protect" her children from finding out what their dad did, click here—or click here to read Charlie Sheen's comments about the incident.
LiLo Replaced as Porn Star
Lindsay Lohan, that bastion of workmanlike stability, won't be sizzling all over the big screen as porn star Linda Lovelace, reports TMZ. The drug-addled starlet and Inferno have parted ways, though some reports say she was fired while Lohan's camp says the decision was "mutual" and that the actress is "concentrating on her recovery." Director Matthew Wilder has replaced Lohan with Malin Akerman of The Watchmen and The Heartbreak Kid.

Vivid to Sheen: Make a Porno!
Charlie Sheen's big on pulling crazy crap these days, so why not add to his resume? Steven Hirsch of adult film factory Vivid Entertainment writes the actor/crazyman a letter saying, “We think it would be great if you would come in and direct" its next movie "within the next several days," reports CNN. “You pick the scenarios, positions, etc. The fact that you are the ultimate connoisseur of adult films would definitely work to your advantage.” Working title of the parody: Two and a Half Women.
And why leave the Goddesses at home? Bring them along! writes Hirsch. Maybe they can help out on the directing side of things, or better yet, "jump in the scene." As for the bottom line, Hirsch says, “based on all the publicity you have been getting, I am sure the sales will be outrageous.”
Liz Hurley's New Guy Cheated With Me: Porn Star
Elizabeth Hurley is probably not having a very happy Valentine’s Day. Yesterday, a 26-year-old porn star told the Mirror that Shane Warne, Hurley’s new flame, was sleeping with her while he was romancing Hurley. “Everyone knows Shane is not the ideal guy to settle down with. Liz is a lot older than me and should be wiser,” says Chloe Conrad. Among her allegations: lewd text messages from Warne, talk of a threesome, and sex in a London hotel that left her with a rug burn she calls her “Warnie Stamp.”
Warne simultaneously flirted with Hurley and texted Conrad, the porn star claims, sending messages like “Ps so hot that pic!! Mind is going into overdrive… Mmmmmmmm I think I should just say yes boss and get on my knees.” On the same day he was romancing Hurley via Twitter, Warne met Conrad for their hotel date: “He talked about his kids, which seemed odd, given he was meeting a random girl for sex,” she says. The two were supposedly still sexting when Hurley’s romance with Warne went public. The Daily Mail notes that Hurley’s Valentine’s Day tweet (which has apparently since been removed) seems to indicate she’s not pleased: “Happy Valentine's Day! Remember, love is like a rollercoaster ride—sometimes it's exhilarating but sometimes u feel sick and want to get off.” Click for more on Hurley and Warne.
HIV+ Porn Actor: Make Condoms Mandatory
The porn actor who tested positive for HIV this fall is going public and calling for mandatory condom use for the entire porn industry. Derrick Burts—previously known only as Patient Zeta—says the industry's stance that testing for STDs is sufficient is "completely false," adding that he had previously tested positive for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and herpes in his monthslong career. The 24-year-old, who worked in both gay and straight porn, thinks he contracted the virus in a gay porn shoot; he notes that gay films require condoms for sex, but not oral sex.
Burts says the industry's health clinic is now claiming he was infected due to personal activity, although the only person he had sex with outside filming was his girlfriend, a fellow performer who is not infected. Burts says he wishes he had known more about the risks. "Making $10,000 or $15,000 for porn isn't worth your life," he tells the Los Angeles Times, calling the industry "dangerous." "Performers need to be educated."

Ex-Porn Star Causes Ruckus Reading to Kids
One-time porn star Sasha Grey is defending her participation in a Read Across America program at a Los Angeles elementary school, reports the Hollywood Reporter. When parents found out that the (recently retired) adult-film actress had promoted reading to kids at the school, many complained, notes TMZ. (It has photos of Grey reading in the classroom.)
But Grey said she had a great time reading Dav Pilkey's Dog Breath, and that her past should have no bearing on her visit to the 1st- and 3rd-graders. "Promoting education is an effort that is close to my heart," said Grey, who has crossed over to mainstream roles, including a stint on Entourage. "I have a past that some people may not agree with, but it does not define who I am."
Porn Star Teacher Allowed to Return to Classroom
A sex education teacher who moonlighted as a porn star, stripper, and naked butler can return to his day job, a British disciplinary committee has decided. Benedict Garrett—stage name Johnny Anglais—was suspended from his job as a high school's head of personal, social, and health education after teachers and students discovered a trailer for one of his adult films. The committee found him guilty of unacceptable professional conduct, but left the door open for him to return to teaching, the Guardian reports.
Garrett—who says he has "no imminent plans" to return to the classroom—defended his conduct, arguing that his involvement with the adult industry was neither illegal nor harmful. The committee wrote that despite his personal views, he recognizes the "widely held public view that such work is not acceptable conduct for a teacher," and he would be unlikely to seek to return to the teaching profession while still working as a stripper.
LA Sex Conventions Can't Get Along
Things are getting dirty. Competing sex conventions in Los Angeles are in the middle of a public feud over the right to host events at the LA Convention Center. The managers of Adultcon—the largest of the three—have canceled two of next year's shows because the city is allowing Exxxotica and the Everything To Do With Sex Show to take place around the same time, reports the Los Angeles Times.
"It's confusing for the public and it's bad business for us," says the vice president of Adultcon. Last year, the trade show drew 30,000 attendees, while Exxxotica brought 15,000, and Everything To Do With Sex 2,000. Combined, that's more than the annual E3 electronics expo. One of Exxxotica's producers, however, says Adultcon is just afraid of losing business. "Adultcon attempts to be our competition but, to be honest, we don't see them anywhere but in our rearview mirror," he says. "We are the Mall of America and they are the flea market down the street."
